Rules - Electric Thermal

MONTHLY POSTAL 2009 PHOENIX MFC ELECTRIC THERMAL COMPETITION

  1. Postal competition each month March through to October (8 months) submit one attempt per entrant. Best 6 scores to count.
  2. Make 3 consecutive flights within a 60 minute slot, which starts when the model first leaves the launchers hand.
  3. 600E CLASS  or 400E CLASS  45 second motor run allowed only at the beginning of the flight. ZERO SCORE  if motor overrun. (Add 15 seconds to motor run time if newly qualified “A” certificate pilot).
  4. Flights to be timed from release of model until:
    (a) Landing
    (b) 10 minute maximum
    (c) end of 60 minute slot ----  whichever is the sooner. If still flying, timing to cease at that point. No penalty for overflying.
  5. One point to be awarded for each second of flight.
  6. Note: at any time motor may be used for safety, STOP timing when motor is switched on.
  7. Attempts to be announced before first launching.
  8. Return fully completed timesheets by the second Thursday of the following month (i.e. Club night) + £1 entry fee/month, (£5 the series) to the Contest Director, whose decisions are final.
