Rules - Scale

PHOENIX MFC 2008 Scale  COMPETITION

  1. Any type of flying machine may be entered. The onus is on the entrant to show that the model is eligible.
  2. Builder of model: a. scratch built, plans or kit (10 points) b. ARTF or other builder (5 points).
  3. Appearance/accuracy of scale detail. View from 2 metres. (maximum points 10).
  4. Documentation may be included (to help items 1, 2 & 3).
  5. Flight of approximately 5 minutes (maximum 20 points) to be judged for the following:
      1. scale realism (maximum 5 points)
      2. speed (maximum 5 points)
      3. sound (maximum 1 point)
      4. manoeuvres (maximum 5 points)
      5. undercarriage (maximum 2 points)
      6. ground handling (maximum 2 points)
  1. Any number of models per entrant, only one prize to be awarded per entrant.
  2. Pilot to fly own model (If flown by another pilot then the flight to be given a score and 5 points deducted.).
  3. 2 judges (non competing) to be selected by the Contest Director.
  4. Entrance fee £1 per model.
  5. Contest Director decisions are final.
