Rules - Scale
PHOENIX MFC 2008 Scale COMPETITION
- Any type of flying machine may be entered. The onus is on the entrant to show that the model is eligible.
- Builder of model: a. scratch built, plans or kit (10 points) b. ARTF or other builder (5 points).
- Appearance/accuracy of scale detail. View from 2 metres. (maximum points 10).
- Documentation may be included (to help items 1, 2 & 3).
- Flight of approximately 5 minutes (maximum 20 points) to be judged for the following:
- scale realism (maximum 5 points)
- speed (maximum 5 points)
- sound (maximum 1 point)
- manoeuvres (maximum 5 points)
- undercarriage (maximum 2 points)
- ground handling (maximum 2 points)
- Any number of models per entrant, only one prize to be awarded per entrant.
- Pilot to fly own model (If flown by another pilot then the flight to be given a score and 5 points deducted.).
- 2 judges (non competing) to be selected by the Contest Director.
- Entrance fee £1 per model.
- Contest Director decisions are final.
