Rules - Timed Flight
PHOENIX MFC 2008 Timed flight COMPETITION
This year we will be running one Timed flight event which will consist of the aggregate of three flights. Rules are as follows:
- Any model may take part.
- Up to three models may be used.
- Make 3 flights within a 60 minute slot, which starts when the model first takes-off and finished at touch-down. Timing to stop at 60 minutes if still flying.
- Target time 90 seconds for each flight, each second to score one point, deduct any overflying from 90 seconds to give flight score.
- All three scores to be added up, target time 270 seconds.
- Time to the nearest whole second.
- No timing assistance to be used either directly or indirectly.
- Attempts to be announced before first launching.
- Failure to land on the patch, zero score.
- Frequency priority will be given to flyers having already started their slot.
- Each competitor is responsible for securing a timekeeper and recording results.
- If appropriate a fly-off to be arranged.
- Entry fee £1 per contest.
- Return timesheets + entry fee, to the Contest Director, whose decisions are final.
