Rules - Vintage & Playboy Duration 2008
- Make 3 consecutive flights within a 60 minute slot, which starts when the model first leaves the ground.
- Two classes: CLUB MODEL PLAYBOY and NON PLAYBOY VINTAGE.
- ELECTRIC POWERED MODELS 45 second motor run, INTERNAL COMBUSTION POWERED MODELS 45 second motor run allowed only at the beginning of the flight. ZERO SCORE if motor overrun. NON PLAYBOY VINTAGE MODELS 30 second motor run.
- Flights to be timed from RISE OFF GROUND of model until:
- Landing (b)10 minute maximum (c) end of 60 minute slot ---- whichever is the sooner. If still flying, timing to cease at that point. No penalty for overflying.
- One point to be awarded for each second of flight.
- Note for ELECTRIC POWERED: at any time motor may be used for safety, STOP timing when motor is switched on.
- Attempts to be announced before first launching.
- Pilot to fly own model (only one model allowed).
- Frequency priority will be given to flyers having already started their slot.
- No telemetry assistance to be used either directly or indirectly.
- Each competitor is responsible for securing a timekeeper and recording results.
- Points are shared with equal scores or if appropriate a fly off arranged.
- At end of series any overall tie break to be decided by highest placings.
- Return timesheets + entry fee, to the Contest Director, whose decisions are final.
