Rod Kick Start

Rod Kick Starts The Day!

By 9.30 we were already at the field unloading and preparing for the days flying and it soon became clear that the day was going to be well supported by both clubs as car after car arrived laden with some really fine models. It had to be said that there was some worried faces as the weather was far from looking good but our fears were soon unfounded as the clouds began to clear and the sky became a sea of blue with just a few fluffy white clouds, a truly lovely day.
It has to said that as the day progressed the flying was nothing short but amazing both clubs flying a huge range of models, large ones, small one electric and nitro and petrol, our hosts demonstrated some really skillful flying but one of the highlights of the day came when we flew a display with our PC9s finishing in a tight neat line astern, much appreciated by our hosts as they thanked us for the entertainment at the end of the day.To complete the perfect day there was not one incident of any kind throughout the whole day a credit to all.
I cannot close without saying a huge thank you to everyone for their effort in making the day the success that it turned out to be, the organisation food and wonderful hosts. The day ended with our now mandatory debrief in the local "Bader Arms" and a welcome pint of cool Guinness.....magic just magic....

Our thanks to Andy (Cheffy Shailer) for the gallery.
